Position Overview:

As Assistant General Manager, you’ll play a critical leadership role in overseeing the daily operations of Queen’s Harbour. Working closely with the General Manager, you will ensure smooth service, a strong team culture, and financial success. You will be responsible for managing staff, optimizing guest experiences, overseeing inventory and cost controls, and upholding compliance with operational standards. 

Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership & Training: Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team while managing schedules and fostering a positive work culture.
  • Guest Experience & Quality Control: Ensure exceptional service, handle guest concerns, and maintain high food and beverage standards.
  • Financial Oversight: Analyze sales, control costs, and optimize efficiency to drive profitability.
  • Compliance & Safety: Uphold liquor laws, food safety, and workplace regulations while ensuring staff certifications.
  • Events & Brand Growth: Support special events, build vendor relationships, and stay ahead of industry trends.

  • Passionate about hospitality and committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring and developing teams.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a restaurant or hospitality leadership role
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask, remain calm under pressure, and adapt to a fast-paced environment
  • Financial acumen with experience in sales analysis, cost control, and inventory management
  • Knowledge of local health, safety, and liquor laws
