Our client, a growing leader in the development and production of advanced materials used in cutting edge industries is seeking a Chemical Process Engineer to join their busy team focused on making these processes “greener”. The Chemical Process Engineer will work closely with scientists in meeting customer desired materials and will be responsible for developing new chemical processes as well as developing manufacturing processes that minimize waste and increase the quality of finished products. It is understood that this engineer will be familiar production scale up and the processes involved, including experience designing, planning and implementing the layout of manufacturing equipment to optimize production and decrease costs. They will develop P&IDs and will have knowledge of valve and line sizing/specification as well as distillation and reactor design. They will have experience leading small capital projects and commissioning new systems and they will also develop and implement safety procedures for staff working with the hazardous materials at an operator level.
