Job Description
We are seeking an Electronics Assembler for a very important client.
Basic Skills:
· Understands and follows proper ESD procedures each day
· Wears steel toe shoes, safety glasses, and ESD equipment at all times while working
· Understands Client part numbering system
· Understands and can interpret Client router and bill of materials
· Able to inspect and put away incoming inventory
· Able to participate in inventory cycle counting
· Understands tool locations puts tools away each day
· Practices 5S each day
· Cleans off bench and sweeps work area each day
· Can hand solder skillfully and inspect their work
Assembly Skills:
· Positions product cart and distributes point of use inventory bins to their specified locations
· Prepares bench positions for assembly, including tools, instructions, test fixtures, poka-yoke fixtures
· Performs secondary operations such as PDB hand stuffing and hand soldering
· Ensures correct parts are being used and assemblies are built to print specifications
· Maintains expected productivity output levels and completes assignments as scheduled
· Ensures product quality meets standards by inspecting each piece
· Inspects and verifies work has been completed correctly
· Troubleshoots any problems to the component level and makes any necessary repairs
· Sets up and operates programming equipment
· Sets up and operates HiPot tester
· Sets up poka-yoke station
· Performs final assembly, labelling, inspection, and packing
· LED tape cutting and soldering skills
· Works safely at all times
Machinery skills:
· Depanelizer
· Test fixtures
· Wave solder
· Programming station
· Carpenter wire cutter and stripper
· LED tape and dimmer testing
Additional Responsibilities:
· Other duties as assigned
· Completes special projects and requests in a timely and positive fashion
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Knowledge of electronics
· Good mechanical aptitude
· Able to use hand tools and small power tools
· Able to interpret and follow assembly drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics
· Ability to use measuring devices
· Soldering skills
· Wiring skills
· Able to work independently and as part of a team
· Flexible and able to adapt to change
· Able to lift up to 50 pounds
· Problem solving and creative thinking skills
· Good manual dexterity
· Punctual and willing to work overtime as required.
Education and Experience:
· High School Diploma or its equivalent and 4 years of electronic assembly, including soldering experience, or
· Associates Degree in Electronics or similarly related field and 1-2 years of experience
