Job Description

Our client, a leading provider of building operations and facilities services, is seeking an HVAC Technician to join their team. As an HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility systems across multiple buildings. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge in HVAC systems, solid problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
 
Job Title: HVAC/Facilities Technician
Location: Andover, MA
Pay Range: $38/hour
 
What’s the Job?

• Install, troubleshoot, service, and repair refrigeration and HVAC systems including condensers, compressors, evaporators, and VAV systems.
• Monitor, adjust, and maintain equipment such as chillers, boilers, pumps, valves, and control systems to ensure permit compliance and reliable performance.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on base building and critical system equipment; maintain accurate records via CMMS system.
• Collaborate with site management to identify system improvements and respond promptly to alarms, system faults, and maintenance requests.
• Handle hazardous refrigerants safely, perform brazing/soldering, and complete system startups, leak checks, and adjustments.

• High school diploma or state equivalent required; trade school or apprenticeship preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of HVAC/mechanical systems experience; BioPharma or Pharmaceutical experience preferred.
• Massachusetts state refrigeration license (required); OSHA 10 certification preferred.
• Strong understanding of OSHA standards, CMMS systems, and Microsoft Office tools.
• Ability to climb ladders (up to 40 feet), lift 60 lbs, and work in confined spaces or on rooftops.
