KPrime Technologies is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Operations Specialist to join our dynamic operations team. The Financial Operations Specialist will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing invoicing and reporting processes, particularly for our CATSA (Canadian Air Transport Security Authority) contract related work. This role requires exceptional data analytics skills, process improvement and the ability to collaborate insights effectively with cross-functional teams.

The Financial Operations Specialist will report to the Director and Program Manager. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.

 

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Invoicing for security services operations, including but not limited to OEM parts, non-technical items, labour, travel, and inventory management
  • Collect and validate all backups: Ensure all backup documentation for invoicing is accurate and complete.
  • Lead initiatives to streamline the collecting backups for invoicing and improve the overall efficiency of invoicing processes.
  • Prepare and submit parts accrual report to CATSA.
  • Streamline and enhance invoicing processes to ensure greater efficiency and accuracy.
  • Streamline and enhance the accounts payable process to ensure timeliness and trackability.
  • Translate technical data findings into actionable insights and clear reports for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Prepare monthly reports
  • Prepare and lead monthly financial outlook discussions for CATSA Operations.
  • Assist in various analytics tasks related to Operations, including day to day, field operations, and logistics
  • Receive invoices from vendors, employee expenses and corporate credit cards, get approval, review then perform all coding tasks process them into accounting system; follow standard company procedures to assure maximum consistency of the information;
  • Analyze discrepancies with invoices and research information to discover the source of problem, making sure all disbursements are correct;
  • Utilize clear and professional communication in the course of performing job duties;
  • Ensure understanding of Canadian tax regulations and invoicing practices across provinces to facilitate smooth and accurate submission of invoices, combining operational and financial knowledge.

Background, Education, and Experience Sought:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field
  • Strong data analytics skills and the ability to work with large datasets
  • Database management/familiarity
  • Advanced proficiency in excel and PowerBI, utilizing advanced functions and data analysis techniques
  • Strong problem solving and analytical capabilities
  • Past experience relating to Operations/Analytics with a finance familiarity
  • Strong interpersonal skills for engaging effectively with both internal team members and external stakeholders.
  • Precision and detail conscious when working with datasets to ensure accuracy and relevance in reporting.
  • Experience with inventory management software (e.g., Business Central) and accounting systems is beneficial.

 

Additional Skills Sought:

  • Must be able to pass a Canadian Government Reliability Clearance check.
  • Bilingualism with French is an asset.
