We are operating remotely at the present time. However, there are times when we do require employees to be in the office for meetings and other activities.

Reports to: CEO & President, VP & COO

The following are the primary duties and responsibilities of a Grant Writer:

· Understand the mission, vision, and programs of the organization to align with potential grants

· Works with VP & COO to establish a grant calendar annually.

• Write, edit, and submit high-quality grant proposals within specified deadlines, prepare supplemental materials, and submits grants in a timely manner.
• Research and investigate new grant possibilities
• With VP & COO develop budgets for proposed projects and programs
• Collaborate with various departments within the organization to gather information required for proposals
• Follow up on submitted proposals and provide feedback to the organization
• Keep detailed records of all submitted, pending, and awarded grants
• Maintain a strong knowledge of the organization’s programs and initiatives to effectively advocate for funding
• Provide regular reports to CEO & COO on grant writing activities and successes
• Ensure compliance with grant requirements and regulations
• All other duties as assigned.

Each year, the organization continues to grow and evolve as we now provide programming to schools in all 50 states and have used our school-focused knowledge to develop a community-wide kindness movement called, Kindland.
