Job Description

With limited supervision, this Grants Manager will be primarily responsible for the pre-award activities of one of Neurology's larger divisions and will provide back-up for a second grants manager during times of heavy volume and or time off. Proven experience with NIH grants including budget creation and proposal submissions is required. Experience with PennERA is a plus. Pre-award activities also include but are not limited to assisting faculty with Just-In-Time submissions, providing Other Support guidance, and will follow-up with outside organizations to obtain subcontract agreements and verify/negotiate updated budgets as needed.

Grants Manager B's will be required to also have proven experience with P's, U's and training grants submissions and may additionally be required to provide post-award activities for the department's training grants.

Position reports to the Administrative and Financial Officer and has a dotted reporting line to the PSOM Office of Research Support Services.

Contingent on funding.

Qualifications:

Grants Manager A: Bachelor's Degree and 3 to 5 years experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Grants Manager B: Bachelor's Degree and 5 to 7 years experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
