1. Ability to teach all lower-division levels of computer science courses including the following:C/C++, Python, Java, Data Structures, Assembly, and Unix/Linux;
2. A commitment to encouragement of learning and enthusiastic attitude toward teaching;
3. Ability to adapt instructional techniques to accommodate varied learning styles and a variety of teaching modalities, including distance learning.
Masters in computer science or computer engineering
OR Bachelors in either of the above AND Masters in mathematics, cybernetics, business administration, accounting or engineering OR Bachelors in engineering AND Masters in cybernetics, engineering, mathematics, or business administration OR Bachelors in mathematics AND Masters in cybernetics, engineering, mathematics, or business administration OR Bachelors degree in any of the above AND A masters degree in information science, computer information systems, or information systems OR the equivalent (NOTE: Courses in the use of computer programs for application to a particular discipline may be classified for minimum qualifications purposes, under the discipline of the application. ) You must upload all applicable transcripts, credentials, and/or certificates required to meet minimum qualification for the position for which you are applying. Any degrees earned outside the United States must have an official US Evaluation (course by course) of the transcripts and must be submitted with the application. Desirable Qualifications:1. Teaching experience in Computer Science at the college level, with an emphasis on lower division courses;
2. Experience with and/or knowledge of outreach to high schools, industry, and regional community college consortiums; 3. Commitment and ability to recruit and support under-represented groups including racial/ethnic minorities, persons with disabilities, socioeconomically disadvantaged individuals, and first-generation college students; 4. Knowledge of and/or experience in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science; 5. Experience/interest in writing and/or contributing to externally-funded awards. Job Work Schedule:This position is full-time, tenure track, beginning Fall 2025. Employment will begin on or about August 14, 2025.
