Job Description

Law Student (2L or higher) We are looking for an energized Legal Student to join our team in Lakewood, Co! You will contribute to legal research, compose legal documents, and assist our legal team. Other job duties may include assisting attorneys with drafting documents such as subpoenas, motions, and pleadings as well as coordinating with paralegals on court filings and calendaring important dates to keep files accurate. Your attention to detail and strong commitment to ethics will shine in your work product. Responsibilities:

• Outline the first iteration of legal documents for attorney review, especially pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests/responses
• Organize and maintain files to ensure information is up to date and deadlines are properly docketed
• Perform legal research to confirm legal authority cited in briefs or other documents for attorneys and judges
• Create legal memoranda outlining results of research to help plan the best strategy for success for court proceedings
• Interview witnesses, consult legal experts and communicate with clients in preparation for trial

Qualifications:

• One to two years of work experience in a legal environment
• Must have great writing skills and effective communication skills to participate in oral arguments effectively
• Display attention to detail and strong work ethic
