Position Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Regional Manager, assists in the administration of day-to-day office-related activities, including NY remittance typing, requisitions, supplies, policy shipping, etc.

Essential Functions:

· Intakes and sorts daily office mail and incoming correspondences, and prepares daily outgoing mail and shipments

· Orders and maintains all necessary office supplies

· Performs document retrieval when necessary

· Assists with monthly record retention of agents licensing renewals

· Prepares Indemnities as directed by Underwriter or Counsel

· Receives and processes questions about Agent Authorization Letters

· Responsible for tracking agent’s E&O renewals

· Answers telephones in a prompt, courteous, and efficient manner. Directs callers to the appropriate person or area and captures accurate messages. Responds to internal inquiries.

· Remains informed and prepared to provide information about the location of personnel who are outside of the office and how they can be contacted

· Participates in special projects and miscellaneous duties as assigned by management

Competencies:

· Ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines

· Ability to apply basic principles of title insurance

· Ability to apply basic principles of accounting

· Solid knowledge of word processing software

· Ability to maintain filing systems

Reasoning Ability

· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
