We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Bartender to join our world-class dynamic team.

Job Objective

Acts as part of the integral service team at L'Auberge Carmel and Aubergine, providing the utmost in customer service in fine dining standards to all clientele with a primary focus on bartending and ensuring the bar operates smoothly.

Key Areas of Accountability:

• Ensures guest satisfaction and timely courteous service at all times.
• Performs all service procedures in an exemplary manner.
• Ensures preparation of bar area including adequate supplies for expeditious service.
• Ensures knowledge of food to be served on the restaurant menu.
• Communicates clearly and effectively with Charm and Courtesy.
• Is familiar with and able to offer and up-sell beverages and extra options.
• Responsible for bar setup and cleanliness before, during and after service.
• Assists in the effort to ensure guests are greeted and served in a warm and timely manner.
• Assists in the service of food and wine as necessary and as time permits.
• Responds to guest concerns and questions and resolve to guest’s satisfaction by troubleshooting or directing guest complaints to the appropriate department head for prompt action.
• Able to utilize the Toast Point of Sale system effectively and accurately.
• Coordinates and communicates with kitchen and service staff effectively.
• Assists with liquor, glassware, and silver inventory as requested.
• Handles all equipment, furniture, glassware, etc. with care.
• Responsible for bar station cleanliness.
• Maintains impeccable standards of appearance and standards of silence.
• Maintains excellent standards of Health and Safety in line with hotel policy and CAL/OSHA requirements.
• Maintains a teamwork orientation toward and among co-workers.
• Is familiar with and able to recommend other Mirabel properties.
• Promotes and maintains good working relationships with Mirabel's counterparts.
• Demonstrates loyalty and trustworthiness to the entire Mirabel Hotel & Restaurant Group.
• Completes other duties as assigned.
