A biotech company located in Goleta, CA is looking for a part-time Laboratory Technician to join their team! The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of laboratory processes and be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Pay: $20-$22 an hour
Location: On-site in Goleta, CA 93117
Schedule: Part-time

Job Duties:
-Prepares, labels, and stores BioQC samples, from human peripheral blood, necessary to perform quality procedures in existing products or prototypes
-Maintains and expands cell lines using in vitro cell culture techniques
-Maintains laboratory inventory, orders supplies, and ensures proper storage and disposal of materials.

Qualifications:
-Associate’s degree in Biology, Science, or a related field; or working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Science, or a related field.
-Experience in a laboratory environment and basic biology lab skills including tissue culture, human tissue handling
-Proficient in using laboratory equipment such as microscopes, pipettes, and other testing tools
-Good understanding of laboratory safety protocols and regulatory standards
-Proficient in Microsoft Office, MS Word and Excel
