Regional Sales Manager – New Food - US and Canada (remote)

Custom Engineered Capital Equipment for the New Food Industry

POSITION OVERVIEW

The role is based in the US area and is focused on selling integrated custom-engineered process systems to the New Food industry.

New food refers to innovative food production methods that leverage cutting-edge technologies to create sustainable, efficient, and scalable alternatives to traditional agriculture.

Precision fermentation uses microorganisms like yeast or bacteria to produce specific proteins, fats, or other compounds, often mimicking those found in animal products.

Cellular agriculture involves cultivating animal cells directly to produce meat, dairy, and other products without the need for raising or slaughtering animals.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include:

  • Identifying and pursuing sales leads
  • Collaborating with colleagues and industry networking
  • Participating in trade shows.
  • Pre-qualifying sales leads and developing sales opportunities
  • Reviewing RFQs and clarifying customer requirements
  • Assisting with writing proposals
  • Preparing and presenting technical and sales presentations
  • Continually updating CRM and forecast lists.
  • Offer preparation including coordination pre-sales engineering activities
  • Negotiating Contracts
  • Preparing order acceptance documents
  • Participating in turnover meetings
  • Maintaining client contact and managing expectations.

Candidate is envisioned to be home office based within the above listed US states. Must be willing/able to travel approx. 50% of the time to visit customers, potential clients, and tradeshows and industry functions. 

Your Profile / Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in Engineering (e.g. Chemical or Biology), or similar experience matured in the Food Industry.
  • Must have 5+ years of experience in Technical B2B Sales in the Food Industry.
  • Must be willing/able to travel to visit customers, potential clients, tradeshows and industry functions require approximately 50%.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • The ideal candidate would have proven experience in selling integrated custom engineered process systems within the new food industry.
  • Good interpersonal skills and work well in a team setting as well as independently as required.
  • Detail oriented and have a demonstrated ability to provide timely feedback to both internal and external customers.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office products, SAP C4C and Lotus Notes
  • Self-motivated and be able to motivate others.

Summary Pay Range

$90,000 to $130,000 + bonus incentive

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
