THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE:

The Industrial Engineering Process Owner is responsible for managing and implementing various productivity improvements and engineering initiatives to help drive efficiency and service within the distribution center. Provide engineering support and help achieve facility goals and objectives. In addition, he/she will also be responsible for establishing processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness by optimizing the use of people, processes, and technology to achieve service excellence. Must combine technical abilities, modeling, problem-solving, communication, group dynamics, and business skills to analyze, design, build, manage, and change processes/concepts.

This role will be onsite at our Distribution Center in Fresno, California.

YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS BY:

  • Partnering strategically with enterprise leaders (Managers, Directors, VPs) to define and plan various business applications such as enterprise strategic initiatives, product flow optimization, best practice process improvement, transitional product strategies, and process automation.
  • Developing appropriate schemes and layouts to support processes.
  • Analyzing and developing engineered standards utilizing time and motion studies, statistical analysis, and manpower planning tools to improve productivity, accuracy, and service level.
  • Implementing multi-variable engineered standards-based incentive programs as directed.
  • Determining the most efficient sequence of operations and work-flow and recommending methods for maximum asset utilization of production facilities and personnel.  Implement required improvements in work-flow.
  • Creating continuous improvement investigating problems, generating recommendations, and implementing solutions using analytical tools.
  • Adjusting and revitalizing standards, procedures, and layouts as needed to reflect changes in policy or procedure.
  • Developing work methods, process improvement, ergonomic workstation designs, and document process methods
  • Analyzing and developing engineered standards utilizing time and motion studies, statistical analysis, and manpower planning tools to improve productivity and service level to internal customer.
  • Developing improved methods, including evaluating new processes and/or procedures, the most efficient means of utilizing floor space and time, and developing layout to scale using AutoCAD.
  • Developing a continuous improvement environment challenging the norms and seeking alternative ways.
  • Adjusting and refreshing benchmark standards currently in place.
  • Coaching, training, and onboarding network partners on Continuous Improvement, as well as LM structure, process, and procedures
  • Training and executing LM system configuration
  • Developing and implementing training practices that improve safety, quality, and performance results, and analyze and understand data to propose training and operations improvements
  • Developing cost analysis, design considerations, and implementation timelines for projects
  • Ownership of the Distribution center they support workforce management systems and reporting (work jam, attrition, retention, onboarding, etc.)
  • Collecting and reporting metrics to monitor and optimize project performance by leading weekly distribution leadership meetings
  • Mentoring, teaching & developing enterprise leaders to improve their understanding and skill, and ensure they are familiar with policies, business processes, and workflow

THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 2-5 years relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of work and education experience
  • Proven success in leading people, process improvement, and multiple projects/multiple presentation deadlines at one time
  • Strong working knowledge in SAP, Manhattan, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to speak, present, work, and influence decisions to large and diverse audiences at various levels
  • Experience working with multi-location teams including leading managers of people
  • Must be a self-starter and be able to develop and execute against departmental goals with minimal guidance successfully
  • Good understanding of warehousing and physical distribution concepts
  • Ability to work long hours and weekends as dictated by business needs
  • Ability to travel as required

  • Typical DC work environment – 100%
  • Travel 25%/year
  • Ability to walk and stand while observing for an extended period

The pay range for this position is $76,100.00 - $97,800.00 / Year with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company’s bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs. Full-time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life and disability benefits. Part-time positions are eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
