*What You’ll Do:*
As a *Tax Investigation Specialist*, you will play a pivotal role in managing tax investigations and building strong relationships with the *IRS* and *state agencies*. Your primary focus will be on resolving complex tax issues, submitting necessary forms, and ensuring all cases are handled efficiently and effectively.
* *Investigate and resolve tax issues* by liaising with the *IRS* and *state agencies*.
* Submit *Power of Attorney (POA)* forms online and ensure all required documentation is accurate.
* *Update case files* regularly, including uploading transcripts and maintaining up-to-date case statuses.
* *Track progress* on each case, keeping accurate notes in our *CRM system* to ensure smooth and timely resolutions.
* Collaborate closely with internal teams, including *tax professionals* and *sales*, to ensure a streamlined process for clients and government agencies.
* Take on additional responsibilities as needed to contribute to the team’s success.
*What You Need to Succeed:*
* *CTEC Certification*.
* Active *PTIN* and *CAF Number* with the IRS.
* A minimum of *2 years of experience* working with CRM systems and tax management platforms.
* Strong *computer skills*, with proficiency in *G Suite*, *Microsoft Office*, and CRM software.
* Excellent *communication skills* to effectively interact with the IRS, state agencies, and clients.
* *Time management* expertise to handle a large caseload, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
* Ability to work independently in a *fast-paced environment* while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
* High school diploma or equivalent (GED), or two years of related experience and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
*Compensation:*
* *Pay Range*: $20.00 – $23.00 per hour.
This pay range represents TaxRise’s good-faith estimate for the role at the time of posting. This range is subject to change based on experience and qualifications.
