This individual provides support to a fleet of Hitachi mining excavators and trucks. They will be a technical expert on mining excavators and trucks.

SUMMARY
This individual provides support to a fleet of Hitachi mining excavators and trucks. They will be a technical expert on mining excavators (100+ tons) and mining trucks. Monitor machine performance through ConSite Plus and telematics data. Engage with dealers and customers where data indicates the need for action. Analyze data for component life based on location, application, etc. In addition to improving overall machine performance, this individual will ensure machine performance exceeds customer needs and deliver value to the company.

• Provide performance analysis and recommendations based on telematic data.
• Provide technical support for surface mining excavators and trucks.
• Ensure compliance with MARC.
• Support Hitachi mining systems (including ConSite, MPDr, etc.).
• Analyze data based on Hitachi ConSite tools for major components including frame and hydraulic.
• Work with global teams to provide technical support for mining shovels/excavators & trucks.
• Perform remote monitoring of customer fleet using telemetry.
• Provide operational and maintenance solutions to improve uptime challenges.
• Provide operational support to internal teams, dealers, and customers.
• Monitor machine performance through Hitachi programs including ConSite/ConSite Plus.
• Monitor contract compliance and provide appropriate feedback where applicable.

• Technical/Science Degree or technical trades certification.
• 2+ years working in a large volume data analyst role, ideally using tools such as programming languages (Python, R, Java, C/C++, etc.), BI Tools (PowerBI, Tableau, SSRS, etc.), and data mining/ETL (SQL, SSIS, Python, etc.).
• Strong preference for experience using time series data/databases and programming languages like InfluxQL.
• Dealer process experience in the construction and/or mining industry, with a preference for experience and understanding of Telemetry/Telematics.
• Knowledge or ability and desire to learn how to create reports and dashboards.
• Knowledge of the surface mining industry and related equipment, particularly mining trucks, excavators, and shovels.

• Passionate about interpreting and modeling data to predict future outcomes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, comfortable dealing with all stakeholders (dealers, customers/end-users, co-workers, etc.).
• Able to shift gears on-the-fly and adjust focus when priorities shift.
• Analytical with the ability to develop a keen understanding and awareness of data and interrelationships.
