VisitNorman is seeking a talented and versatile Creative Producer to join our team. This role focuses on crafting compelling visual storytelling across a variety of platforms, from the website and sales collateral to promotional videos and photography. Your work will highlight Norman’s unique attractions, events, and community, helping to position the city as a premier destination.

This position offers opportunities to shape and elevate VisitNorman’s marketing initiatives through creative visual content production, strategic storytelling, and collaborative partnerships. This includes contributing to the development of marketing strategies, creating assets that meet organizational goals, and engaging with community stakeholders to amplify Norman’s story.

Key Responsibilities

Video & Photography Production:

• Develop original concepts and bring creative ideas to life, ensuring all visuals reflect VisitNorman’s brand and storytelling goals.
• Produce, shoot, and edit high-quality videos and photographs to showcase Norman’s attractions, events, businesses, and community character, capturing a wide range of content such as lifestyle imagery, event coverage, and location features with an eye for creative storytelling.
• Develop and maintain a detailed content calendar to plan and coordinate shoots, ensuring the timely creation of assets.

Team Collaboration & Community Engagement:

• Partner with the Director of Marketing & Communications and other team members to identify and prioritize visual content needs that align with strategic goals.
• Build and maintain relationships with local businesses and community partners to source authentic content, and represent VisitNorman at community events and on-location shoots to capture visuals showcasing Norman’s vibrant culture and attractions.
• Lead creative direction and guidance during shoots to ensure visuals meet VisitNorman’s standards for professionalism and storytelling.

Multimedia Content Management:

• Curate and edit photo and video assets for use across multiple platforms, ensuring all content adheres to VisitNorman’s visual and technical standards.
• Organize and maintain a comprehensive digital asset library with efficient systems for tagging, labeling, and storing files to improve accessibility for the team.
• Provide technical expertise to ensure high production quality for all multimedia projects, including color correction, audio editing, and resolution optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in media, graphic design, communications, or a related field preferred.
• 1–4 years of experience in professional photo and video production, including shooting and editing.
• Expertise in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) and photo editing software (e.g., Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop).
• Strong understanding of visual storytelling and its application across platforms.
• Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Comfortable with flexible scheduling, including occasional evenings and weekends.
• Ability to lift and carry camera and video equipment up to 40 lbs.
• Experience with drone operation and licensing preferred, though not required.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite or other equivalent tools for multimedia production.
• Experience in event photography and videography, including on-the-go shooting.
• Understanding of archiving best practices to maintain an organized digital library of assets.
• Familiarity with digital media platforms’ photo and video specifications (e.g., aspect ratios, file types).
• Ability to storyboard and plan content shoots to maximize efficiency and creativity.

Salary

$42,000-$48,000, commensurate with experience.
