THE POSITION
The Guthrie Theater seeks Stage Managers and Assistant Stage Managers for the 2025-2026 Season. These positions will work with the Director, Production Manager, Production Stage Manager, Company Manager, Producer, and heads of all other applicable departments, during rehearsals, tech, preview performances and the post-opening run to ensure the success of the production. The Stage Manager and Assistant Stage Manager will also follow all AEA rules and regulations while maintaining artistic excellence and integrity throughout the production. All staff members are expected to center, model and champion the Guthrie’s core values of Artistic Excellence; Community; Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility; and Fiscal Responsibility.
This position is temporary for the duration of the production. Rehearsal schedules typically span daytime hours from Tuesday-Sunday with evenings during tech week and preview performances. However, the schedule will vary based on the specifics for each production.
